Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using nepper.io (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The Service
nepper.io provides an API and related tools that analyze images for signals of AI generation, reuse, and other authenticity risks. Results are probabilistic indicators, not legal determinations of authenticity or identity. You are responsible for how you use reports in your product and decisions.
3. Accounts and API keys
You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. API keys are personal to your account. You are responsible for all activity under your keys. We may suspend or revoke access for abuse, security risk, or violation of these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to violate law, harass individuals, bypass technical limits, reverse engineer the Service beyond what law allows, or submit content you lack rights to process. Do not upload illegal content. We may rate-limit or refuse requests that threaten Service integrity.
5. Plans, quotas, and billing
Free and paid (Pro) plans include usage quotas described on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider (e.g. RevenueCat / Stripe). Fees are charged in advance for the billing period. Taxes may apply. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. Cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
6. Your content
You retain rights to images and data you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that material solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service (including running detectors and caching where applicable). You represent that you have the rights and lawful basis to submit content for analysis.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, branding, documentation, and software are owned by nepper.io or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. Feedback you provide may be used without obligation to you.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Detection scores may be incomplete or incorrect.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEPPER.IO AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR €50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, or discontinuation of the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
